I would still be stuck in verse mapping without this course! I initially bought the PDF verse mapping journal and even with the instructions, I became intimidated with the whole process and the PDFs sat there for about a year. When I saw that there was a course, I took a chance and bought it. I think I initially went through the whole course (before the update) in a weekend, but it brought so much clarity. I'm a visual learner, so seeing how something is done as opposed to reading it always works better for me. I love that we have lifetime access and get updates when they are added. I've started going through the new word study updates and they are very helpful as well. Thank you, Lauren, for this amazing course!
Love this way of studying scripture and very thankful for a digital option
It has been a long time since I last sat down to critically think about the meaning of Bible verses as opposed to just reading them. This study plan has already been a blessing and has helped me to reconsider what I thought I knew. One of my favorite parts is writing out the definitions of words. Of course you know what the words in the verse mean, but this step allows you to reconsider the words from different angles and find more meaning inside their use in the verses. Another part I really like is finding the cross references for verses in the Bible. I was shocked how often the same themes (sometimes word for word) and repeated over and over throughout the Bible. This study method helps make God’s message to his people clearer. I use this hand in hand with the verse memorization product and for the first time in a loooong time I am able to easily commit verses to memory. It’s exciting to grow on this journey!
Very useful and effective. Allows me to focus on one scripture at a time.
I've only just gotten started. I love the spiral and the layout of the pages. I've really only done one verse, and haven't even finished that one yet. I guess I'm following the instruction to go slow and enjoy the process.
It took me a while to decide if I wanted to fit this into my personal spiritual disciplines or use it in the Bible studies I lead. For now, I've decided to keep it personal. I sat down this afternoon and thought over the different verses I heard, read, and studied this last week. I chose one from my morning reading, and mapped it out. It was a really good way to come full circle with my week.
For now, that's how I plan to use this tool. That's what I love about this tool. It's a means of learning to handle the Word accurately that I can use to enrich the study that I'm already doing.
