Our Future Full of Hope

The fresh new year is upon us, friends! And if you’re like most of us, some kind of New Year goals, resolution or habit building has been planned. I’ve seen that some of our community is committing to study the 52 words that we sent out earlier for the year. Others are reading through the Bible this year. Many of you are re-committing or first-time committing to have a consistent Bible study time.

How do we stay committed to these goals? While thinking about this I realized this verse would be perfect for our first full week in January. Why? Because it holds help: hope.

Whenever we’re embarking on something new, there is always the spark of hope that motivates us. The beauty of committing to deepening our relationship with Christ is that our hope will never be cut off. Hope in our future will never disappoint us.

Our God delights in sharing himself with us. We just celebrated Christmas, which shows how loving God is toward us and how far he’ll go to have a relationship with us- to the Cross. Keeping these wonderful truths in mind as we stay committed to knowing that love more deeply help keep our focus when we might otherwise wander.

So when the shine starts to dim a little on our new goals, habits or whatever we are doing to grow our relationship with Christ this year, let’s remember this verse. Our future is bright and our hope is sure!
