Five Inspiring Ways to Celebrate Easter and Grow Your Walk with the Lord
Happy Eastertide, friends!
This wonderful season is full of promise and fresh beginnings. To celebrate this, we wanted to share an acrostic (using the word RISEN) with five ways to bring a new zeal to our walks with the Lord.
R: Remember our King’s commitment to us and refresh our commitment to Him. The Creator of all things became subject to death for the sole purpose of a life with you. Let’s sit with this wild truth a moment and not let it ever become “ho-hum.”
I: Intimate times of reflection with the Lord grow our hearts toward him and in turn, grow our hearts for others. If we don’t spend time in vulnerability with Him, how can we expect Him to heal, help and bring hope?
S: Seek out a community of believers. Many of us have a church we attend, but not as many (according to research) of us spend quality time with believers. Let’s change this. We were built for community.
E: Engage with the Word in new ways. Of course we might be a little bias about our study tools since they can help be guides and encouragements (and are cute to boot). That said, there are many ways to dive deep into Scripture. A good study Bible and a pen and paper can do wonders in the hands of passionate people.
N: Notice the ways the Holy Spirit nudges you as you grow more intone with the Lord. In our busy lives simply pausing (without music, an open app or a to-do list in front of us) is a rarity. But I think this is where God comes to speak the loudest if we let him.
